Who we are
SKON Media is a digital advertising agency based in Jakarta, Indonesia. We plan, run and report paid advertising campaigns — primarily on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google — on behalf of our clients.
Our office is at Pasaraya Blok M, Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Our website address is https://skonmedia.com.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only. Campaigns we run for a client on that client’s own website or advertising accounts are governed by that client’s own privacy policy.
Information you give us
When you contact us through a form on this site, by email, or by WhatsApp, we collect what you choose to send us — typically your name, email address, phone number, company name, and whatever you tell us about your business. We use it to reply to you, to prepare a proposal, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your agreement.
If you leave a comment on this site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or advertisement that referred you. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We are an advertising agency, and this website runs the same measurement tools we set up for clients. Being specific about them matters more here than a generic disclosure would:
- Google Analytics, via Google Site Kit, to understand how many people visit and which pages they read.
- Google Tag Manager, which loads and manages the tags listed here.
- The Meta pixel and Meta Conversions API, which tell us whether our own advertising is working. The Conversions API sends some of this information from our server to Meta as well as from your browser.
- A client’s own advertising pixel, on the page belonging to that client. These are scoped to a single page: a client’s pixel does not follow you around the rest of this site.
- Functional cookies set by WordPress and our caching layer, which keep the site working and do not track you across other websites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can limit how Meta and Google use your data in your Meta ad preferences and your Google ad settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this site.
The client dashboard
Our clients can view their own campaign reporting at skonmedia.com/dashboard. That page embeds an application hosted on Google Apps Script, and access is controlled by a private key we issue to each client. The reporting shows advertising performance — spend, reach, results and similar campaign metrics. It does not contain the personal data of anyone who saw or clicked an advertisement.
Each key opens one client’s data and nothing else. If you believe your key has been shared or lost, tell us and we will replace it.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make this site and our work possible:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website.
- Google, for analytics, tag management, and the hosted application behind the client dashboard.
- Meta Platforms, for advertising measurement.
These providers operate servers outside Indonesia, so information collected through this site may be processed abroad. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and correspondence are kept for as long as we are talking to you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can pick the conversation back up. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised automatically. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the retention settings of the platforms named above. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Your rights
Under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 of 2022), you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, withdraw a consent you previously gave, or object to how we are using it. Write to us using the details below and we will respond.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to client reporting requires a per-client key, and administrative access to the site is limited to the two people who run SKON Media. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected people promptly if a breach ever puts their data at risk.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data — a new measurement tool, a new provider — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
